Once you have received your new license code for rapidECM from ionetiq you need to edit settings in the web.config file in the Service Layer of your server.
In there you should find a setting within the <appSettings> section with <add key=”LicenseCode”…
If it’s not there add it to the <appSettings> section
Then paste your License Code in for the value, as shown here:
To test, go to the health check page for the service layer, this is the hoe page of your service Layer IIS application (healthcheck.html will be added):
This will show the status of the Service Layer:

Along with other settings here, License Code should show green and that it is valid.
Yellow are warnings, they can be ignored but highlight areas that you may want to address depending on your setup. The one above in this screen shot is to do with Load Balancing on a Hyland Cloud solution and unless you are hosting on the Hyland Cloud can be disregarded.
Red sections are problems that do need to be addressed and will stop rapidECM operating as expected.
If the License Key was missing or invalid we would see:

In this case check the license key is copied and pasted correctly and in full. If you check that, then you should next look at the values you sent to request the key. They all need to match the settings of this setup.
